Chairperson of the Litigation Section of Baird Holm LLP

Jill Robb Ackerman is the chairperson of the Litigation Section of Baird Holm LLP. She represents individuals and businesses with respect to complex business litigation in federal and state courts and arbitration proceedings concerning corporate disputes, copyright, trademark and unfair competition, computers and technology and products. She is a frequent speaker on the protection of trademarks, trade secrets, and the perils of electronic discovery.
Ms. Ackerman is listed in The Best Lawyers in America 2008 (© 2008 Woodward/White Inc.) and in Chambers USA, America's Leading Lawyers for Business (Chambers & Partners Publishing 2007), Nebraska Super Lawyers (© 2007), and Benchmark, America’s Leading Litigation Firms and Attorneys, (Institutional Investors © 2008) for her work in intellectual property litigation and business litigation. She recently accepted an invitation to join Litigation Counsel of America.
Ms. Ackerman is a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association and chaired its Judiciary Committee for two years. She is a member of the American Bar Association, and its sections on Litigation, Intellectual Property Law, Science and Technology, and Alternative Dispute Resolution and Committees on Computer Litigation and Trade Secrets and Interference with Contract. She is a member of the Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys, the former Chairperson of the Federal Practice Committee, and has served on the Federal Advisory Committee for the Eighth Circuit. Additionally, Ms. Ackerman is a Fellow of the Nebraska Bar Foundation and a charter member of the Robert Spire Inn of Court. She also taught Trial Advocacy at Creighton University School of Law.
Ms. Ackerman served as law clerk to the Honorable C. Arlen Beam of the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska from 1984 through 1986.
