The Tim Rouse Advocate for Women in Leadership Award was created in 2005 to honor Tim Rouse, co-creator of the Influence and Focus programs, and co-founder of FGI International and FGISpirit. The award honors male leaders in the community who embody and support the advancement of women. They work tirelessly to inspire and encourage women to reach their fullest potential. Sponsored by Lincoln Financial Group, this award is announced annually at the ICAN Women’s Leadership Conference.
ICAN is accepting applications for male nominees for the 2010 Tim Rouse Advocate for Women in Leadership Award, which honors men who embody and support the advancement of women. Sponsored by Lincoln Financial Group, this award is announced annually at the ICAN Women’s Leadership Conference to be held on April 7, 2010.
The award was created in 2005 to honor Tim Rouse, president and co-founder of FGI International, an Omaha firm specializing in leadership development for the global economy. Tim co-developed and co-directs the nationally recognized Influence and Focus leadership programs. The criteria for the Tim Rouse Advocate for Women in Leadership Award are highlighted below.
Award Criteria
The recipient shall:
- Believe in the empowerment of all women and consistently demonstrate this belief in equality through word, thought and deed.
- Understand the importance of recognition and opportunity for women, and consistently create ways to acknowledge the strength, power and accomplishments of women.
- Advocate for the professional development of women in all settings, including education, government and business.
- Acknowledge and encourage the full talents, capabilities, skills and rights of working women.
- Encourage women to accept opportunities and challenges and to expand their circle of influence.
