Leadership Circles invite men from across the community to build new networks and have real conversations about real issues. Unlike traditional corporate mentoring programs, ICAN’s program is based on peer-to-peer conversations. Discussion groups are made up of six to ten men who mentor each other about work, family, life, and world issues.
While many corporations have in-house mentoring programs, ICAN’s program takes a different approach. At ICAN, we have redefined and reframed mentoring to mean real conversations about the things that matter to men – in life and work. The outcome is relationships based on trust and goodwill. If you’re looking to do more than swap business cards, this is the program for you.
Each series consists of four sessions that meet once every two weeks for 2.5 hours. Participants are asked to commit to all four sessions.
Each session is designed around a theme that will facilitate exploration of leadership capacities, experiences and applications. Meg Wheatley’s ‘Four Step Model for Change’ provides guiding principles for group discussions. Participants are invited to engage in open, authentic, and confidential peer-to-peer dialogue.
